I am not sure what the size type is. I have a string of colored lights, the bulbs are about 2 3/4 inches long and the base which screws in is about 5/8 inch diameter. these are a bit larger than standard night light bulbs but smaller that standard house lamp bases. I need to order a bunch for replacement of burnouts. if you cannot id the type from this description I could send a photo scan of the 3 bulbs side by side to give you a picture id opportunity. let me know pls. thanks.

Sounds like you are looking for INTERMEDIATE BASE REPLACEMENT LAMPS for your light strings.  Intermediate base lamps are slightly larger than a cnadelabra base and smaller than a standard medium base.
