I need a bulb that produces a substantial amount of UV. I need to expose Brazilian Cherry wood to it. Once this wood is exposed to UV over time, it will chnage from a light color to a dark cherry color. I am looking for something like a mercury vapor bulb that I can readily purchuse and use a standard base/ballast. Thanks !!

I would recommend that you purchase a 175 watt bullet light that comes with the fixture, lens, ballast box and the mercury vapor lamp.  THis should be exactly what you need to fade the wood.
