My yard freezes (25-32'') 5-10 days in the winter and kills or maims most of my landscaping. A friend suggested white lights strung through the ficus trees and bushes to produce enough heat to avoid frost damage. What''s the best lights to buy to accomplish this. I figure I''ll need 200-400 feet throughout the yard (one acre). thanks for the help. John Mathews

Any lights you install would require a cover over the plants to hold in the warmth.  The globe lights would be a good product for this type of pretection.  The heat generated or btu''s is equivalent to the total wattage of the lights.
