Can I put two 12V transformers on one lighting circuit to increase the capacity? I have a single 150W transformer, and want to add a few more lights on that circuit - without having to run another long run of wire - or go buy a larger transformer (I have another 150W already).

Not a good idea to connect the two TRANSFORMERS together.  You can however split you outdoor lights into two seperate systems and utilize both transformers.  Be sure you have at least a 14/2 DIRECT BURIAL CABLE or preferably a 12/2 CABLE.  You can only put 150 watts of light on a 14/2 and 300 watts on a 12/2.  So, you are going to have to run some new cable either way you go.  It's the right thing to do.

Check out our helpful DESIGNING LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTING SYSTEMS page for more information on the subject.
