If you are really wanting to project the light I would go with a fixture that has more optical choices. The sportlighter depending on your requirements is a much better choice. THis will light up the pasture like you see at a driving range.

The other box fixture is considered a floodlight and does not have the right optics to push the light over a great distance. The shields are for minimizing glare from normal viewing angles. It will work for smaller areas.
