I've read about splitting the wire with splitters/T-connector but I can not find anyone that sells them. Do you know of any internet company that does?

We have a crimp connector designed for tapping fixtures on to a low voltage wire.  If this dows not work, cut the wire and splice it with wirenuts and tape.
