What kind of clamping mechanism does this lamp have...we''re looking for a lamp for a grand piano that we could attach to the music stand. Thank you.

The piano light attaches to the music stand by a felt lined u-shaped bracket.  It is designed to adapt to any size piano.  I actually have one of these on our piano at home.
