outdoor soffit lighting

We are looking for low-voltage recessedlighting that can be installed under the roof overhang (soffit) all the way around the perimeter of the house. I am guessing we may want one every ten feet or so. We are not looking for brightness just a faint glow. Any suggestions?

You would be better off using a small incandescent recessed light if your objective is a soft glow.  The Halo H99RT only requires 5 1/2" of space and can easily be installed in the soffit.  I would also use a Halo 993 trim with a 30R20 incandescent lamp and install the system on a Lutron dimmer control.  The softness of the frosted lamp will provide a more even distribution of light without harsh scallops.
