noisy dimmer switch

jennifer 1/18/2004 11:58:49 PM	I installed a new light fix ture in my bedroom with a 100 watt bulb max. rating. I also installed a 600 watt dimmer switch that works fine but makes a buzzing noise at the switch. I have seen questions regarding a light fixture noise and overload possibilities, but none related to my specific problem. Could I have a loose connection in the wiring of the switch? Help!
