PATH LIGHTS can be quite effective as a light source around driveways, sidewalks and stairs if used properly.  If you have flower bed, shrubs or rocks to partial conceal the lights or prevent them from being damaged this is great.  However, if they are just stuck in the lawn, chances are they will get broken by kids, lawnmowers and people just tripping over them.  Not to mention, someone backing over them.

You might consider using a BOLLARD style light fixture that is taller and less likely to get damaged.  It will also take fewer bollard lights to do the job.

If you go the path light route, take a look at the pagoda light from Focus Industries:

Item Number: FOC AL-03-4T-10
