Have a home built in 1975. Want to add recess lighting in kitchen. Would like to have 40 watt fixture and have 4" or 5" fixtures. I was told 6 " fixtures is the best but what is the difference in cost? What are my best options? Would like to be able to change out lamps without much trouble.

The EXPERT recommends taking a look at the spec sheet for this product, which can be found by following this link: http://www.haloltg.com/common/CLDetail.cfm?id=11436.

If that is the case, I would go with a standard Lightolier 5" recessed down light. They are easy to install, service and will give you the best general lighting for your kitchen.

The smaller halogen MR16 lights are more expensive and the trims must be removed to change the lamps.
