I'm buying floodlights to uplight a large walnut on one edge of patio. Total space is small (1200 sq ft) and I don't want to overdo it. If I use two small 12v floods what bulb size should I use, 10w, 20w, or 35w. I have the same question about spotlighting a small fountain about 30 inches high. Thanks.

I would go with the 35 or 50 watt MR16 lamp.  In a 50 watt lamp you can go with a 10 degree beam spread (EXT) 38 degree beam spread (EXN) or a 55 degree beam spread (FNV) depending on the area of coverage. For the fountian, I would use a 20 watt MR16 (EZX) 7 degree spot.  Hope this helps in your selcection of MR16 lamps.  We have some great MR16 FIXTURES if you are looking for some for your outdoorlandscape lighting project.
