Phantom strip lighting is perfect for lighting art objects on display.

Tell me more about your Phantom strip lighting products. I have a series of built-in bookcases in my family room that could sure use some Phantom lighting. My wife has been on me for years to light her collection of porcelains. I read over the information you have posted and it seems like a very unique and effective lighting product. Is this what I should use or do you have other strip lighting products that will do the same thing as Phantom?

We do have many shelf lighting products that could be adapted to your built-in bookcases as well as under cabinet lighting. However, the Phantom Lighting Strips are by far the most custom and adaptable product we sell for display or shelf lighting. Since each Phantom light strip is custom fabricated, we can ship out a lighting package that will fit beautifully and put a smile on your wife's face. All we need is a simple sketch of the cabinets or the measurements to help you place an order. Although we allow you to order online, it is always best to contact customer service to make sure that you have selected the right trim, lamp wattage, low voltage transformer and all the mounting accessories.

The best way to light a bookcase with wood shelves is to light each shelf horizontally so that each cabinet section is evenly illuminated from top to bottom. Cabinets with glass shelves are best lighted with Phantom strips mounted vertically. This is always better than using recessed cans, as each solid object placed on the shelves, creates a shadow on the lower shelves. In some cases, light never makes it to the bottom of the cabinet.

Phantom Lighting can be used in bookcases, antique furniture, shelves, coves, cabinets and many other applications. Feel free to contact us at 800-239-2939 for some assistance. We can send out some specification sheets and or a catalog so that you can decide which model is right for you!

Clip On Light, Battery Operated Light, Battery Light, Battery Picture Light, & Display Light

I have a couple of questions on a House of Troy HOT RT-8 battery operated picture light. How do you turn it on and off? What size picture can it illuminate? How accessible is the rechargeable battery?

The HOUSE OF TROY BATTERY OPERATED PICTURE LIGHT is really designed for small to medium sized paintings up to 18" wide. The fixture is mostly a big battery with a relatively small light source. The switch is located in the shade and it will operate for 6-8 hours before needing a recharge. If you don't have a plug near by the fixture can easily be removed and plugged in anywhere. If you are interested we also have CLIP ON PICTURE LIGHTS designed for art shows, music stands and temporary art lighting.
