Residential Landscape Lighting and Design offers two specific types of mounting adapters for commercial lighting poles: round mounting arms and square mounting arms.
Round mounting arm adapters for commercial light poles support any number of halide security floodlights and will also dual function as mounts for security cameras on shorter poles when fitted to the pole with slip adapters. This allows the camera to be vertically positioned at the exact height desired.
RLLD offers an impressive selection of round mounting arms that feature heavy-duty polyester powder coated steel tubing. They are highly resistant to the corroding influences of bad weather. Double reinforced weld joints hold them securely to any steel or wooden lighting pole and offer 90 degree, 120 degree, and 180-degree angles. Adjacent commercial light poles with mounting adapters can then be equipped with heavy duty bullhorns and floodlights, such as RLLD Floodinator, Megaflood, Floodzilla, and Flex flood models.
Square adapter mounting arms work extremely well with TV, TH, and RV series brackets and work well will RLLD’s RTB series tenons. Slip fitters can also be fitted to these adapters to allow for precise vertical positioning.
For larger
parking lot lighting and commercial light pole mounting adapters, RLLD inventories a selection of square mounting arms that feature 4” bases and tenons engineered for heavy-duty support of metal halide and parking lot lights.
Very often, corporations and municipalities can save a great deal of money by investing in adapters and fixtures and simply fitting them to existing lighting poles. This is much more cost effective than replacing an entire
parking lot lighting system when one may only need to replace fixtures, or add additional fixtures at different angles on tenons that create a more evenly distributed pattern of lighting.
Choosing from all these many options may seem a daunting task to procurement managers and even contractors at times. That is why
RLLD provides free consultation services to help clients select the best commercial lighting adapters, mounts, and poles either through our “Ask an Expert” online forum or through a phone consultation during business hours.
It is vitally important to explore all of ones options before investing in any type of major parking lot lighting upgrade, new parking lot light installation, or
commercial security lighting and security camera equipment.
With the help of an RLLD expert, it becomes a simple matter of finding all the equipment you require in one simple, user friendly online supply-house vendor with world class commercial grade manufacture, convenient drop shipping straight to install location, and all the help you need to make the best decisions and receive maximum return on safety, security, and investment.

Mounts and bases are among the more important hardware elements of any commercial light pole. The base of any pole has to be firmly bracketed to the concrete so that it maintains a 90° angle to the surface of the earth at all times. Unfortunately, most pole bases don’t look all that appealing. With the addition of a simple accessory found in our online inventory—a
square pole base cover—the pole appears more seamlessly attached to the earth and also more aesthetically appealing as a result.
Tenon arm mounts make an even more important impact on aesthetics for a number of reasons.
First,
tenon arm mounts maintain the fixture in place and must hold that position firmly in spite of problematics such as wind velocity, accidental impacts, and the force of gravity. Secondly, the mount itself must be attractive enough to blend into the piece but “low profile” nonetheless in that it does not dominate the landscape.
Mounting brackets function are essential commercial pole lighting hardware accessories that come in many sizes and builds to fit the circular and square pole builds we supply.
They can both cap the top of a pole to add a decorative touch and horizontally extend fixtures outward from the sides of the pole. For certain designs, be sure to look carefully as well at our horizontal wall mounts and glare reducing shields for fixtures as well. These highly effective
commercial pole lighting hardware accessories prove highly useful to custom architectural and landscape lighting design themes.
RLLD also has over 20 specific models of tenon adapters that both vertically and horizontally mount a number of fixtures. These tenons work well with an enormous range of commercial grade light poles, among which are certain low voltage security lights.
Choosing the right hardware requires knowledge of how angles and mounting bracket spread affect the distribution of light, and often this can be challenging even for a professional lighting design contractor working on a tight schedule.
Residential Landscape Lighting and Design staffs a team of specialists highly skilled in recommending application and installation methods that can both customize commercial pole lighting hardware and accessories to any lighting array, and that can also save a client tremendous time and money wasted on trial and error, or on ordering the wrong part and discovering after the fact that something else in our inventory would have more adequately accomplished the task.
We will be happy to do the math and recommend design strategies for any commercial contractor or client interested in our products and who uses our forum or toll free number to request our help. RLLD’s growing selection features
commercial lighting poles and accessory hardware options finishes to weather many years of problematic weather, so they work throughout the nation regardless of specific seasonal changes and climate conditions.

Why should I order parking lot lights and poles in a package?
Ordering parking lot poles and lights either as upgrades or emergency replacements is not an easy task, nor does it leave little, if any, margin for error. Because
commercial parking lot lighting is to security, it must not only meet regulatory standards for illumination, but also strength, resistance, and light distribution requirements as well. Customers often feel overwhelmed when it comes to choosing specific
luminaries, determining pole height, and matching fixture and pole EPA value to wind velocities in the area.
Residential Landscape Lighting and Design offers less stress to the client and the help of a professional designer in working out the math by packaging commercial parking lot lights and poles with calculations and combinations worked out in advance.
RLLD also provides complimentary detailed, technical information and consultation services that further customize every commercial parking lot pole lighting package we sell the to client’s precise location and industry requirements.
What advantage does a package offer? The most important factor to take into account when configuring any commercial parking lot lighting layout is EPA compliance. The Environmental Protection Agency regulates both light placement and distribution of
commercial parking lot lighting fixtures and pole heights. Fixture values regulate the angles at which the lights themselves distributes the illumination, and pole EPA value directly references the ability of a commercial parking lot light pole to withstand specific wind velocities already determined
meteorologically to be standard for a given region. Many clients prefer to have an
RLLD expert design a
commercial pole and lighting package for them because it is more time-saving and efficient to allow an expert in lighting already familiar with EPA values to help them select the right package for their needs, then further recommend any necessary customizations required by circumstance and law.
What are the poles and lights themselves like?Several important features of our packaged commercial parking lot lights bear contribute to these key benefits. For winds of 80-100 miles an hour that often gust from the Dakotas to Texas and Florida, it is wise to utilize
commercial parking lot light poles made with one-piece construction out of a shaft of carbon steel. These poles are square in design to remain firmly fixed in the pavement, but they have rounded corners to better enable wind to pass around them. Every one of these packages proportionally matches specific EPA pole values to EPA fixture values, offering a number of mounting arms and tilting angles that help meet the exact requirements of the region, This makes one
parking lot lighting package a commercial value to any one of the many different parts of the country.

Other than lower electricity costs, do fluorescent lights offer any other benefits that solve actual problems for warehouses?
Yes they do.
Fluorescent commercial light bulbs heat than incandescents, and they maintain cooler temperatures in offices and production areas. They also produce a glare free light that is much better for the eyes than that of bright incandescent lights. RLLD fluorescent light fixture technology is designed for glare free comfort, optimal safety, and longer lamp life that require fewer bulb replacements.
What about headaches caused from fluorescent flicker and the yellowish light they cast on the room? These problems have been eliminated with the next generation of ballasts, which are now electronic as opposed to the magnetic ballasts of earlier decades. Electronic ballasts better regulate electron flow in such as way as to eliminate the stereotypical flicker of previous fluorescent lights or inferior generic equivalents. RLLD’s commercial grade fluorescent light fixtures represent the highest level of equipment engineering and manufacturing quality available in our industry.
My company has both U.S. and Canadian branch facilities. Will your equipment comply with regulations in both countries?
Yes it will. RLLD commercial fluorescent light fixtures are UL/CUL listed as well to ensure value to both U.S. and Canadian business owners. Furthermore, they are optimized for all climates in both nations. We carry a number of
commercial fluorescent light fixtures that have been specifically developed for long lamp life in damp regions—regions where incandescents may sometimes short when the humidity levels peak.
In our factory we use a number of material handling tools that occasionally hit the ceiling and break lights. Do you have any fluorescent lighting fixtures that are unbreakable? There is no such thing as unbreakable, unfortunately. However, we can supply you with impact resistance that minimizes the likelihood of breakage and replacement. Our
commercial fluorescent lighting fixtures are manufactured with baked, white enamel finishes and polyester powder coatings that minimize radiant heat. We even have certain high-end models that provide additional fixture protection with rust inhibitors that protect metal parts from oxidation, and low brightness/extruded acrylic refractors that eliminate glare in critical work areas.
We are on a budget. If we switch to commercial fluorescents, how many of our lights should we replace and when should we do this?
That depends partly on where you are located, and partly on how cost effective it is to factor procurement costs offset by overhead spent on power consumption. If you live in California, the sooner you abandon incandescent lighting the better off you will be. According to the new law recently passed, all incandescent lights have to be replaced no later than 2010. Other states may soon follow California’s precedent, so waiting until the last minute could result in a budget crisis compounded by a parts shortage.
Consider the benefits of investing a little more now and saving more from here on out. Read more about specific

Additionally, a good number of our commercial high pressure sodium decorative lighting packages house 175 Watt
Metal Halide bulbs, which in spite of their high wattage nevertheless offer very cost effective power savings through multi tap RLLD ballasts that maximize bulb light by strictly regulating current flow. Lights can stay on from dusk until sunrise without burning themselves out prematurely.
