We have some old weatherproof speakers on our patio that need replacing. I was considering moving them out into the garden area to provide more background music. Of the outdoor speakers you carry, what is your recommendation?
If you are planning to install
GROUND MOUNTED SPEAKERS I would take a look at the

Planning on adding outdoor lighting to pool area and in garden areas in my backyard. I once saw a Landscape designer make his own lighing system with sockets inside of terra cotta pots as fixtures. Very organic and cool. I''m trying to stay away from the typical Home Depot in the box look, but I am by no means versed in yhe ways of electric.Can you recomend a low voltage socket and wire I should use for this application? I want to be able to uplight plantings and provide some illumination for pathways, etc.How many lights can I get on a typical 120amp outlet on the side of my house?Hoping to not hurt myself,Nick
I would not recommend using home made lights of any kind around a pool. If something goes wrong or if someone gets hurt, your insurance company will not cover the claim. It is better to use a UL Approved landscape lighting system around pools in combination with a GFCI receptacle for piece of mind.
If you are looking for something different, we have some very cool ROCK LIGHTS and ROCK SPEAKERS that work well around pools and decks. They certainly don''t look like a typical landscape lighting fixtures or speakers. We also have some unique PATH LIGHTS for illuminating the deck around the pool and pathways for safety. They hide beautifully in the planting area and blend in with the landscaping.
We do have some SOCKETS and DIRECT BURIAL WIRE if you are determined to fabricate your own lights. You can also pick up 12 volt sockets at your local auto parts store. Either way, you will need a TRANSFORMER

We just completed building a new deck and arbor in the back yard. We hope to landscape the area after recovering from the expense. When we do landscape, I want to install some outdoor stereo speakers in the shrubs. What model do you recommend from your selection of outdoor speakers?

I am placing outdoor speakers in my yard and need to run wire to them. Is low voltage (lighting) wire the same as outdoor speaker wire?Thank you
If you are not planning to install conduits you can most certainly use our cable for speaker wiring. Otherwise, I would probably use a traditional speaker wire with multiple conductors in a conduit. This will allow you to make repairs or reconfigure the system with having to dig up the yard.
