High Bay Lighting Fixtures

RLLD will perform a full photometric analysis of your clientʼs site in order to help you determine the very best fixture types, mounts, and lamps you need to service their requirements. This helps us better determine which high bay lights will best meet the needs of your client. Contractors installing high bay lights in warehouses and factories can find a wide range of fixture manufacture and lamping options through RLLD Commercial Lighting. We are a virtual lighting agency operating nationwide holding multiple representative relationships with major American light fixture manufacturers. Because we are held to know quotas by our manufacturer/partners, we maintain an objective stance toward the many type of High bay light fixture we can equip your proposal with.

Rather than attempting to convince you that a certain manufacturer and model is what you need, we help you find out what lighting levels and optic requirements you need to fulfill first, and then we let you select what is in your best interest from a list of high bay lighting fixtures we recommend.

The advantage this offers the contractor is twofold. First, you have freedom of choice when you work with us and can combine your own expertise in commercial warehouse lighting fixture selection with our expertise in finding the equipment. Because we rely upon a nationwide network of distribution channels, we can find parts in stock when other vendors are suffering from a shortage, and we have earned the respect of manufacturers over the years to the extent that if you need something like high bay or low bay lights shipped ASAP to your clientʼs site, we can almost always get it there in a couple of weeks as opposed to six weeks to 90 days. Even better, the high bay and other light fixtures we sell are exclusively made in the USA and backed in writing by full manufacturer warranties. These are two very important qualities to talk about with your clients to assure them that the money you are recommending they spend is well invested in the best equipment in the world.

We sell high bay lights that are designed for both heavy duty industrial lighting and more detail oriented general, warehouse lighting and task lighting that requires a high color rendering index. RLLD Commercial Lighting offers fluorescent high bays with sophisticated electronic ballasts and exceptional color rendering capability. These fixtures can reduce power bills by as much as 40%, effectively paying for themselves in the process. You may also need fluorescent high bay lights for certain industrial clients, regardless. Metal halide lights may be too bright for some workersʼ eyes, and even if they are not, tend to render color rather poorly. Assembly line work is very tedious and is very hard to ergonomically accomplish under the yellowish tint of high pressure sodium lights. Most manufacturers in these environments are starting to prefer fluorescent high bay fixtures. , they have found fluorescent high bay lights to produce a better, more comfortable illumination that is easier on assembly workersʼ eyes because it is softer, more diffused, and renders color at levels closely approximating natural light.

If you are planning to install a lighting system for a municipal civic center with an outdoor pavilion, we have high pressure sodium lights that will provide excellent lighting for nighttime entertainment and provide the additional benefit of repelling insects. Gyms in academic institutions, churches, and health clubs tend to favor the white light of metal halide high bay lights. If you are looking to install fixtures in one of these places, be sure to mention pulse start metal halide technology which is one of our newest additions to our inventory.

Commercial warehouse lighting using high bay lights and low bay lighting fixtures.

I need to properly light a 4750 square feet commercial warehouse with the 16" high bay fixtures. How many fixtures would I need to purchase?

You would need roughly 16 HIGH BAY FIXTURES to cover a 4750 square foot warehouse.

I would suggest that you fax a drawing to customer service toll free at 877-272-0577 for a complimentary lighting design and photometric study. You might want to go with a larger fixture depending on the type of work you do in the warehouse.

We are pleased that you have contacted Residential Landscape Lighting & Design for your COMMERCIAL WAREHOUSE LIGHTING needs. We look forward to earning your valued business.

Hooking up low bay lighting fixtures to standard household 120 volt current.

I would like to purchase and mount the TL16M, 16" low bay light & wire it for existing 110 outlets. Will I be able to wire this type of light for 110 volts?

I don't see why not. The LOW BAY LIGHT does come with a twist lock cord cap that you can either cut off and hard wire or install a twist lock receptacle to match. I don't know how many you plan to use, so check your load. Divide the wattage by the voltage to get total amps. Typically, 1920 watts is all you can put on a 120 volt 20 amp circuit.

Thanks for shopping at Residential Landscape Lighting & Design. We look forward to serving you and feel free to call 800-239-2939 if we can assist with your selection. We are here to help!

Metal halide low bay shop lights are good for any type of fabrication manufacturing or repair shop.

I have a new shop, 24' x 48' x 16' at the peak. I am thinking of 175 watt low bay lights. How many and how should they be spaced? Does your fixture come with the bulb? Thanks!

If you are running the 175 WATT METAL HALIDE LOW BAY FIXTURES in a row down the middle of your shop, you will need three minimum and four if you want it bright from end to end. You might want to also consider using the 250-WATT METAL HALIDE LOW BAYS should you decide to go with three fixtures. The bulbs are included and all you have to do is select the voltage and mounting method when ordering.

What kind of work will you be doing in your new shop? Thanks for your business!

Shop lighting using fluorescent lights versus metal halide sources.

I have a new 40 foot by 60 work shop with 14 foot ceiling height and white walls. How can I estimate my lighting needs? Is there a formula I can use ? what type of fixture would be best to use?

You can always use two runs of F96 FLUORESCENT STRIPS the length of the shop for adequate lighting. You might consider a more professional looking approach by using four 175 WATT METAL HALIDE LOW BAY FIXTURES in a rectangular pattern.

Warehouse Light, Body Paint Lighting, Shop Light & Commercial Light Equipment

I am part owner of a small paint and body shop in Kansas. We own the building so I don't mind spending a little money to improve the shop lighting. Any recommendations would be great.

If your warehouse has a ceiling height of 20' or more, I would use our HIGH BAY LIGHTING FIXTURES as your first option, the have an aluminum reflector that will not collect dirt and should work well in your work environment. If you have ceilings that are lower, I would consider the LOW BAY METAL HALIDE LIGHTS that are sealed and have a prismatic lens to disperse the lighting.
