Arena lighting, horse arena lighting, outdoor arena lights & security lighting for equestrian facilities.

I have several different topics. Here goes. I have an outdoor grass riding area measuring 500' X 280'. We wish to light it up enough for safe night time riding, not shows. I have buried conduit (1 1/4") around the perimeter with irregular access every 72 ft or so. I have not purchased any poles. I can run 240 V from the service box. I am worried that perhaps the conduit is not large enough if I purchase inefficient lamps. My questions are: Best pole height and spacing? Recommended lamps to buy? 2) I wish to light up a parking lot (65 ' X 65') and adjacent horse paddocks (70' X 110'). Low level lighting is OK, just enough to work at night. I have one pole set for each area, 20 ft. 240 V is available. Recommended lights, type and size? I need security lights in this area as well (motion activated). I am thinking of 240 V HID for the general lighting and halogen lights on the same pole for the security lights. Is this overkill? Is there a way to use the HID lights for security lights with the more rapid start up the 240 V affords? Thank you for your help.

It sounds to me like you have the necessary conduit and electrical provisions for a successful installation. The size of your area almost certainly requires 30' poles and 1000 WATT COMMERCIAL GRADE FIXTURES. You will want to consider forward throw optics to minimize glare.

For security lights, I would consider the 1500 watt HALOGEN FLOODS. We have 240 volt lamps in these as well.

To properly assist you it would be best if you contacted Jeremy in customer service at 800-239-2939. He can discuss with you your pole options and other light sources. If you have a drawing or a good sketch, please fax it to Jeremy using our toll free fax number 877-272-0577.

Thanks and we look forward to serving you at Residential Landscape Lighting & Design.

Sport court lighting fixtures and poles direct to the public.

I recently put a 30x60 sport court in my yard. I am looking for a light+pole that will be placed half way down the length of the court. I would like to know what fixture and pole you would recommend to provide adequate lighting. Thanks.

Our 20' DUAL 250 WATT SPORT COURT LIGHTING KIT would be perfect for your size court. All you need is a couple of concrete footings and electrical back to the panel and you are in business. You could always scale back to a 25' SINGLE 400 WATT SPORT COURT LIGHT for less money and still be able to enjoy your new court at night.

Lighting for baseball batting cages, softball, fastpitch, varsity, little league and sport courts.

I have a backyard baseball batting cage, with the primary area of coverage being 70 feet long and say 20 feet wide. In my ignorance, I have purchased a 1000W metal halide light that is very reminiscent of the one your company sells. I think it is a multi-tap, but I must check. I am seeking advice first before I order a pole upon which to mount my light. Given the area of coverage, and again it is a batting cage so it must be illuminated like a stadium within the area referenced above. I have checkd the graphs you have listed, and a 1000W bulb, I am not sure which size pole will give me the illumination I need within the area in question? Thank you very much.

Hey, we all make mistakes, take it easy. Let us help you finish your project. We are here to help!

If you have a 1000 watt metal halide fixtue, you should use a use a 20' or higher pole. Before ordering a STEEL POLE or FIBERGLASS POLE check the mounting method or MOUNTING ARM required for your light. Since we did not furnish the light, we will not take the pole back if it doesn't work.

We have a good selection of SPORT COURT LIGHTING FIXTURE KITS that might better illustrate what you are trying to do.
