Picture lights need a recessed clock receptacle behind the art for power.

We have purchased six of your 14" picture lights for a project we are trying to complete. And since the lights are currently back order and will not be shipped until the beginning of May, how can I get any specifications on rough-in or installation? We have a fair amount of stain grade material to be completed around the lights and need to get the appropriate installation electrical boxes places as soon as possible. Thanks!

These lights are designed to plug into a CLOCK RECEPTACLE behind the art. Simply rough in a single gang junction box centered behind the art. If possible, switch the outlets otherwise the light has a twist switch on the cord. This can be stapled to the back of the frame for easy access.

Thanks for the purchase and shopping with Residential Landscape Lighting & Design. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

Picture light, cordless picture lights, frame house light fixture, frame light fixtures & lighting artwork

Several years ago I purchased a battery operated picture light for a painting in my living room. It has worked well until we purchased a larger painting that is 42" wide by 36" tall. I have contacted an electrician about adding a plug behind the art. How do I handle the cord behind the art where it plugs in?

Congratulations on your new painting and for moving on to an electrified PICTURE LIGHT. You will be very pleased that you have moved up to a stronger light source. The plug that goes behind the art is called a CLOCK PLUG. That is because the plug was originally designed for electric clocks Linkand by recessing the plug in the wall, the clock fit flush on the wall. This type of plug is commonly used for ART LIGHTING FIXTURES.

I would take a look at out TRADITIONAL PICTURE LIGHTS or SLIMLINE PICTURE LIGHT FIXTURES for your new larger art. Stick with something around 30" to 36" in width for best results.

Thanks for the question and enjoy your ne painting.

Interested in the above in gold. Can you tell me how one lot of batteries would last. Is there only one type you sell. Can you tell me if you can post it to London UK and the cost. Thanks.

China Cabinet, Display Lighting, Antique China Cabinet, Shelf Lighting & Lamp Cord Dimmer Controls

Hi, I am looking for some sort of strip light or flourescent lights that I can hang under each shelf of my china cabinet to light up the items in the cabinet. I am looking for something that runs on batteries so I dont have to drill holes into the back of the china cabinet. Any suggestions?

The BATTERY OPERATED PICTURE LIGHTS we have are not really designed to do what you want. We do have HOUSE OF TROY ADVENT STRIP LIGHTS that are very easy to install and the wires can be spliced inside the cabinet. That way you only have to drill one small hole for the cord to exit the back of the cabinet. We have MALE & FEMALE QUICK CAPS that make the splicing simple and LAMP CORD DIMMERS to set the light levels!
