setting motion detector with switch

I understand there is a light switch that allows integration of a motion detector with an exisist outdoor lighting system. The switch allows the lights to be off but the MD to be on. Rather than simply OFF ... the switch is turned OFF/ON/OFF or something like that. Any suggestions? Thanks

Motion detectors can be used in combination with an existing wall switch.  However, when you turn off the power, you also turn off the motion detector. These kinds of motion sensors are typically installed outside and may be used in multiples for several locations.  Turning the switch of and on quickly puts the motion detectors in a manually on position.

Occupancy sensors are designed to replace wall switches as a means of automating the lights.  These are typically installed in offices or homes as an energy savings device for interior lighting.

We do have a motion detector that acts like a dimmer switch with a handy hi-low feature.  This might be something of interest to you.
