Hanging Pendant Lights
Who says you don’t need lights hanging around your house? Pendant lights are some of the most versatile and beautiful of all the decorative lighting fixtures used in homes or offices. Pendant lights can be used in just about every room of the house to brighten up the space.
The distressed components of the Framburg Illumination pendant fixtures are finished in polished nickel and complement the texture of the piastra glass; while the Satin Pewter finish on the smooth stems offset some of the rustic nature of the piece as a whole. Overall, this series is playful and feminine, yet somewhat simple.
Pendant lighting is an ideal light fixture to use over tables, counters, kitchen islands, living room bars, or any room with high ceilings. Pendant lights typically have a stem or chain that can be used to lower or raise the light into the perfect position in the room. Mini pendant lights look super when used in groups over a bar or island. Kitchen pendant lighting can be quite effective for not only task lighting, but as a decorative general light source when used in combination with a dimmer control. Modern pendant lighting and Tiffany pendant lighting add color and charm to any setting.
Pendant lights are made by a plethora of manufacturers and come in many shapes, light sources and sizes. Here at Residential Landscape Lighting & Design, we carry discount pendant lighting from the following brand name vendors:
Small, colorful glass pendants from Besa and Westinghouse are used in contemporary or modern settings. They come in single, double and triple clusters to create that special look. Larger indirect style lighting pendants or bowl pendants from Westinghouse and Aziano are used over breakfast tables, desks or game tables. Light from these style pendants is very pleasant and creates a handsome design element that can be bright, or as subtle as the mood requires.
Framburg also manufactures high quality pendant lighting fixtures used by some of the country’s top interior designers. Framburg does a good job of using designer finishes in combination with unique specialty glasses. Some fixtures have artfully bent rods, bar stock or tubes that grace the fixture and set the tone for the room. Other Framburg pendants such as the Bellevue are quite simple and tend to just blend into the surroundings. The architectural frame and curvilinear arms of the Bellevue are combined to create a fixture that is neither contemporary nor traditional. The brass substrate is covered in a brushed stainless finish with polished nickel accents that add a little sizzle. The glass has a variegated white marble finish and lies somewhere between rustic and modern.
