Hello. I would like to install a new dimmer switch on a current bank of recessed flourescent lights. Do I need a specific dimmer for flourescent lights or can I use a regular dimmer? Thank you for your help.

fluorescent lights can only be dimmed with used with DIMMING BALLASTS.  You cannot simply add a dimmer like you can on other lamp sources.  You need a FLUORESCENT DIMMER CONTROL.

Why don't you give customer service a call at 800-239-2939 and they can build you a fluorescent lighting kit.  They will need to know how many lamps per fixture, how many fixtures you have, type of fluorescent lamp and the voltage by which they operate.  With that information, they can certainly assist you.

Thanks for the question.  Here at Residential Landcape Lighting & Design we like to help our customers.
