What type of flood light or voltage would be best to use? also what would be the correct placment, should the flood light be pointing straight up or a certain angle if we are trying to accent the house?

Check out one of our PRE-PACKAGED OUTDOOR LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTING SYSTEMS for up lighting your home.

If your house is brick or stone you may want to mount the lights close to the slab to graze the surface.  This will show of the texture and create attractive shadows which show depth.  You can also move the lights out into the shrubs and cast attractive shadows from the plant material.  Every home is different, so I suggest you perform a test to see which method you like.
