dimming outdoor fixtures

I would like to install outdoor 110v incandesent fixtures in a gazebo. Can you recommend a dimmer for outside use? and what precautions should be taken to protect it from the elements. Thanks

First of all, dimmers are not really officially designed for outdoor use.  Having said that, you will need a weatherproof box, dimmer control, and bubble cover.  If you want a toggle switch, I would use a Lutron Ariadni control.  If you want a Decora style look, I would use the Lutron Diva series.  Both will fit nicely behind a one or two gang plastic bubble cover.
