dimmer lights on a 12 Volt switch

We are in the process of building a house. And we are installing 12 volt lighting in our living area. We just wanted to find out if we could install a dimmer switch on these at a later stage

Yes, you can always replace a standard wall switch with a dimmer at any time.  You must first determine if your low voltage lights have a MAGNETIC TRANSFORMER or ELECTRONIC TRANSFORMER because you will need to match the DIMMER CONTROL SWITCH to the correct load.
