dim lights

i have a 300X2 malibu transformer powering 4-20 watt stake lights.the first light is about 200ft from the transformer and my lights are dim. i am using 16 gauge wire.am i too far away from transformer?

Yes!  Your 16 gauge wire is way too small for your application.  You need at least 12 GAUGE WIRE to maintain the voltage.  Check out out DESIGNING LOW VOLTAGE SYSTEMS page for more information.
