cabinet lighting ideas

My wife has become visually impaired. Would rope lighting be a safe and economical system to improve the illumination by installing them inside the kitchen cabinets? Would the illumination be substantial?Along with the above please offer any other viable solutions.

Rope lighting is low cost solution to illuminate your cabinets.  The light output is fair, but not real bright.  If you want to really light things up, I would consider our House of Troy Advent light strips or even better our Phanton Strip lights.
