I have a duplex wall switch controlling 1 fan and 1 low voltage light fixture in the bathroom. I bought the Lutron Skylark model 030-634 and need to know if I can hook up the dimmer switch to the light portion of the duplex wall switch.

If you purchased a Lutron SLV600 dimmer control you can contol the light provided the transformer in the fixture has a magnetic coil.  If your fixture has an electronic transformer you need a Lutron SELV600 dimmer to prevent damage to the transformer.

Just in case you don't know what a magnetic transformer looks like it is bulky and tends to be heavy.  An electronic transformer is usually very small, light weight and shaped like a small thin box.

Hope this helps.
