I have basketball light posts on a home court. It cost me $600 to change the light bulbs because I had to rent a scissor jack. Is there a better way?? Is there such a thing as a collapsible post which one can break down to change the bulb. I've been looking all over the internet and can't find an easier way. Any help would be greatly appreciated.thank you, Joanne MacMillan

Sounds like you have a HALOGEN LIGHT FIXTURE with a very short lamp life of 4,000 hours.  Using a METAL HALIDE BASKETBALL LIGHT will extend that lamp life to over 18,000 hours!  So, a little investmet to upgrade your fixture will save you lot's of money down the road. If you hire a local electrician to install your new light, he might even have a ladder that works instead of renting the lift.  Good Luck!
