Hi, my family and I recently moved into a new house we built, and decided to install an in-ground pool before we did anything with the yard. So, now that the pool is complete, we have a landscape company working on the design of the yard.I would like to install lights throughout the property, and all the lighting companies in the area that I have contacted are so very overpriced. Therefore I thought I would attempt to do this project myself.I have found a product manufacturer that I think I prefer to buy the lights from, I would just like to know how I should go about designing a plan and how to decide where I need lights, how many and which type of light to use, etc. Can you be of any assistance?Thank you and regards.

We have many pre-packaged low voltage lighting kits that will work around your pool and that are easy to install.  I would start by illuminating any trees or large shrubs with some 20-watt halogen up lights.  Then you can scatter some path lights around the pool decking to illuminate the paving and surrounding foliage. If you have a formal landscaping plan fax us a copy to 713-863-0044 and we will help you select a system.
