I want to put up some uplights to highlight architectural features in my two-storey house with read bricks. I was looking for bright light output with narrow focus? Can you suggest any fixtures and related bulbs to go with that. I was looking for over 50W bulbs in each fixture. I tried 50W and they do not appear to be bright enough. Thanks

The wattage of a light bulb is only one factor in light distribution and performance.  For example, a 50 watt MR16 lamp is available in various beam patterns from a 10 degree spot to a 55 degree wide flood.  It is not uncommon for a lighting designer to use several beam patterns and wattages to illuminate various sections of a home.  You might use a 20 watt 38 degree flood on the lower sections and a 50 watt 10 degree lamp on the upper sections. You should take a look at one of our pre-packaged low voltage lighting kits.  Just specify in the notes when you order or discuss your specific lamps requirements with customer service at 800-239-2939.
