Do you have an SL04 in Cast Aluminum. I prefer the 4 louvers on the SL04 to the 2 louvers on the SL08. However, with the SL08 model costing more, I am assuming that Cast Aluminum is more resistant to weather conditions than Stamped Aluminum. Is this correct. I am concerned about the effects of weather conditions on the fixture itself, since I live in a hot, humid, salt air environment(900 yards from the ocean)here in South Carolina. What are your thoughts.

You should go with a COPPER STEP LIGHT or BRASS STEP LIGHT.  These lights can withstand the salt air environment and will give you years of enjoyment.

I would not use an aluminum landscape lighting product near the coast.  It will deteriorate in no time. Although you may pay more for a copper or brass step light, the investment is worth it!
