I am trying to identify the exact replacement bulb I need for my outdoor uplights. It looks like a MR11 or MR16. I cannot find any identification on the bulb itself. Any advice????

Both low voltage halogen lamps have a similar physical design but differ in diameter and wattage.  The MR11 lamp is 1.36" in diameter and the MR16 lamp is 2.00" in diameter.  The MR11 lamp comes in 20 and 35-watts.  The MR16 lamp comes in 10, 20, 35, 42, 50 and 75-watts.  Most landscape fixtures use a 20-watt lamp with a wide spread beam pattern. Click here to see a sample beam spread chart.  Hope that helps!
