I just purchased a home with installed Red Dot motion sensor exterior lighting (probably some years old). After turning off power to perform some electrical work in the house and turning power back on, the Red Dot lighting stays on rather than on-off according to motion sensing. There is an on-off switch for the exterior lighting and I am told there is a method for using the switch to reactivate the motion sensing. Can you tell me the secret to that method? Thank you for your help.

I am not exactly sure how to reset that particular motion sensor.  However, I do know that other brands can be set in maintenance mode or manual operation by turning the switch on and off several times in a few seconds.  Some brands are two times and others are three.  You might try giving this a try.
