Question about WSD - Motion Detector Switch

Specifcally how the three way function works? Does it require another sensor or can you use a standard three way switch? If a three way switch, will it turn the lights on and off or just on and then the sensor "counts down" to turn off. Any more elaboration would be helpful Thanks, Patrick
