We are interested in knowing:- Which material is the mounting stem made of?- Does the stem allow to be installed on a hard surface? Thanks

The EXPERT recommends taking a look at the spec sheet for this product, which can be found by following this link: http://www.rabweb.com/common/specSheet/index.php?product=LL22B. The PAGODA LIGHT mounting stem is a threaded steel 1/2" nipple that will attach to any standard junction boc or cover plate.  If you want to deck mount the lights we have a SPECIAL MOUNTING FLANGE for this type of application.
