Is this device low voltage only? (as per edw46-that is you remark --what is the difference?

The Edwards EDW44 door jamb switch is currently for low voltage applications only.  The Edwards line of door jamb switches can be used to control room lighting in many different situations.

You can however use the Edwards perfectline door jamb switch for any application that calls for a line voltage door jamb.
