We have new cabinets with secondary false bottom surfaces to allow for puck lights to be counter sunk into the bottom surface of the cabinet. This allows a flush appearance when finished. There is about an inch air gap between the actual bottom of the cabinet and the false cabinet surface to allow for this type of installation. What are actual dimensions of the puck light as well as can they be countersunk to provide a flush appearance once mounted beneath the cabinet. Also, do they emit much heat, and what is the wattage for this product? Are ther multiple wattages available? What is the maximum quantity of lights that can be connected to a single string? This is a new home costruction, and I am anxious to learn more as well as lead times and order procedure, etc..Thanks,Kevin Kunz

I would go with the WAC PUCK LIGHTS as they have a lower profile when recessed into the cabinet.  They are designed to fit into a standard 3/4" wood base, so your 1" void is perfect.
