It states online that these lights are dimmable. My question is do you install the dimmer switch on the primary side of the transformer, which in this case is 120 volts a/c. Or do you install the dimmer switch on the secondary side of the transformer, which in this case is 12 volts. Also is the secondary side of the transfomer a/c or d/c voltage?

It is always best to dim the primary side of the transformer.  We have A/C dimmer controls for MAGNETIC TRANFSORMERS and ELECTRONIC TRANSFORMERS.

Check out out Residential landscape lighting & Design FAQ'S for more information on dimming low voltage lighting fixtures.

Call us at 800-239-2939 if we can help you select the right dimmer control.
