Can this be installed by a general building contractor and a licensed electrician? Or does it require a special, sports court lighting installer? Also, is a 110V better or 220V? Thanks

This tennis court lighting kit can be installed by any licensed electrician or general contractor.  It is best to have a local engineer design the concrete footing specifications to your soil conditions.

We also have complete tennis court lighting packages designed by professionals. Everything you need to acheive perfect results!

It is always best to use a higher voltage whenever possible.  This reduces the amperage.  For example, if you are using a six light (1000 watts each) for a total of 6000 watts here are the calculations:

6,000 watts / 120 volts = 50 amps

6,000 watts / 240 volts = 25 amps

Using a higher voltage systems saves energy and saves installation costs.
