I have Nightscape lights up our front walk...they are good quality and work fine except three of them have had to have new bulbs...they are at least ten years old. When I replace them (18watt) some will not sit back down in the socket. they are the kind you sit down and twist. they are kind of on a spring. If I hold them down they work, but when i let go they disconnect. I've tried cleaning them well, I've tried vaseline (?someone told me to try)...Do you have any ideas...I can't replace because the company has decided to make these lights copper now and mine are black...I hate to spray paint brandnew lights....thank you very much for any help. chris

The Nightscaping fixtures you have are designed to work with a 12 volt single contact lamp.  Sounds like the socket has corroded or is not engaging the pins on the socket base.  I would contact Nightscaping directly for the correct replacment socket.
