I want to put my low voltage path lights on a motion sensor and still be able to turn them on or off from inside my house independent of that sensor. Is there a away to do this?

That should not be a problem  If you have a switch in the house currently controlling the outdoor lights. Simply install a RAB motion detector either before the transformer or after the transformer.  If you do it befor the transformer, you will need a 120 volt motion detector.  After the transformer, you will need a 12 volt motion detector.

Thanks for the question and we look forward to serving your needs.

Pardon my ignorance but, if I put a motion sensor in line with the switch, am I not just turning the motion sensor off and on? It seems to me that the motion sensor seizes control of the the lights no matter if I place it before or after the transformer. I was hoping to somehow be able to turn the lights on and off at my discretion and still have them operate on a motion detector.

Unfortunately, it is one or the other.
