Hello, Just would like to ask if it's safe if i use my light bulb receptacle with a dimmer and put an extension cord as a source of power to my t.v.?? will it lessen my electicity consumption??thank you.

It is not a good idea to use a dimmer on a TV.  They are designed to operate at a specific voltage.  It will also cause the dimmer control to fail.
