i need a cost estimate on how much a electrician would charge for wiring up two light poles for lighting.

That would depend on the amount of underground conduit and wiring that was involved to complete the work.  The average licensed electician charges between $55.00 and $95.00 per hour (Journeman and apprenctice) depending on your area of the country.

I am sure that you can find a handyman or independant contractor that can do it for less.  However, I recommend that you not cut corners and have your post light professionally installed by a licensed contractor.  Do it legally, do it safe and do it right!
