I need to replace the dimmer knob in my bathroom, but the dimmer shaft appears to be too short. The knob won't stay on. Is there a product I can use that will affix to the shaft so that the knob will stay on or do I have to replace the shaft altogether?

Sounds to me like you need a new dimmer.  I am not aware of any shaft extensions or retrofit knobs.  We have replacement dimmers to fit just about any decor.  Please let me know if you need assistance in selecting the right control for your application.
