I have a couple questions. I'm installing 4 puck lights inside a cabinet and i want to install them recessed, how do i do this? The instructions seem to steer me to remove the upper plastic casing, is this correct?, and how do i do it? Next question, i have 2 long runs that traverse a microwave and a window, can i splice the wiring so I don't have the connectors in these areas that i can't easily get to once construction is finished?

Some PUCK LIGHTS are designed for recessed use.  If the instructions you have indicate that your puck lights can be recessed they should just snap apart.  Using a hole saw you can contersink the lights if your shelves are thick enough. The instructions should cover that.

You can certainly extend or splice the wires with small wire nuts or end butt crimp connectors.
