Timer on Low Voltage Exterior Lighting

The 3rd transformer on my low voltage lighting (Malibu 88 watts with 2 20 watt bulbs on it.) doesn't seem to be keeping time. The other transformers (on different outlets) turn off and on correctly, but the one in question seems to hang up and the lights stay on for 10-12 hours longer. It also is in slow motion when the lights are off. I end up manipulating this timer by hand. I have changed out the whole transformer/timer and still got the same problem. I noticed that the first light is supposed to be 10 feet away from the transformer. This is a small area, so it is more like 4 feet away. Could that be the problem?

Yes, try to get 10 feet of wire between the transformer and the first light, even if the physical distance is still less than 10 feet.

It sounds like your timer is getting the wrong voltage. If you continue to have this problem, please write back to info@rlldesign.com

Thank you.
