I have a horse barn approx 200 feet from my house. Now that the mares are getting ready to foal, coyotes are nosing around. I cant use motion activated because it would go on and off all night because of the horses, but my dog alerts me to the coyotes. If I had a remote control that worked from 200 feet, a strong light would send them scampering. Do you know of any such thing? I can only find 100-150 feet.

I looked around online myself and I too can only find remote switching devices that are good up to 150'.  Seems like that is the maximum distance these kinds of devices will work.

You might want to just run a temporary wire out to the barn.  I would hate to see something happen to your horses.  We have UF CABLE that you can run on the ground or suspend in the air if you have trees or poles to work with.  A couple of HALOGEN FLOOD LIGHTS will provide enough light to run off the coyotes.  We also have a BUZ BULB that might work, if it wouldn't bother the horses.

Good luck with the horses!
