I would like to use this to replace a toggle switch that controls lights in the room. Would this product work and can I install it in the same box the toggle switch was in?

The EXPERT recommends taking a look at the spec sheet for this product, which can be found by following this link: Why can't I use a photocell control to replace a wall switch inside my house..

Photocell controls are for really designed for exterior use.  They are activated by light levels and nothing else. If you want to replace a wall switch for interior lighting, you might want to consider using an OCCUPANY SENSOR or a WALL TIMER.  These kinds of HOME AUTOMATION devices are perfect for turning on the lights when someone is in the room.
