I have a room with a sloped ceiling. I wish to light it with 3 rows of indirect fixtures all mounted at the same distance aff. I think I want to put dimming ballast on each of the 3 rows of fixtures - and adjust them for even brightness on the ceiling AND THEN controll them all with one master dimmer. Is this possible - or do I just use three controllers and adjust them up and down individually to meet different needs?

I would go with a single fluorescent controller for ease of use and uniformity.  Lutron makes a great fluorescent dimmer switch as well as electronic dimming ballasts.
