Door Jamb light switch for closet

Marilyn 11/8/2004 3:11:28 PM	We installed door light switch with the florencent light. Problem.. the florencent light did not turn on fast enough. Is it because of the door jamb in low voltage? Add to Favorites

EXPERT 11/9/2004 8:02:24 PM	fluorescent lights are not considered a good choice for instant on applications. They are really designed to be left on for extended periods of time. Turning them off and on over time weakens the electrodes and causes them to ultimately fail. You might consider switching to an incandescent fixture or upgrading your fixture to one with an electronic ballast. Add to Favorites
